Mental Health First Aid Course
GREAT NEWS!
This course is now available online
NOW is the perfect time to book your team in!
Mental health first aid is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem, experiencing an existing mental health problem, or in a mental health crisis. The first aid is given until the appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves. At present, you can choose from Community MHFA, Workplace MHFA or Tertiary MHFA courses.
All have the same core foundational content with the practical activities, scenarios and context tailored to better meet the needs of the respective environments.
Participants will learn the signs and symptoms of mental health problems, where and how to get help and what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective.
Course Format
This is a 12-hour online course consisting of 7hrs of self-paced e-learning and 2 x 2.5hr Live Zoom interactive group workshops with your Instructor. Course participants receive a copy of the SMHFA Manual and are eligible to become an accredited Mental Health First Aider once the post-training quiz is completed.
Why attend a MHFA Course?
